Perform Real-time Data Replication While MS SQL Running On Both Stations In Active/Active Mode
The Active/Active mode is the configuration in the
ClusterReplica/ProReplicator that keeps the SQL services on both Primary and the Replica
stations active. The unique design of ClusterReplica/ProReplicator allows the MS SQL server of both data source and data target stations to be active,
independent servers while performing real-time data replication. Even compare with some so claimed MS SQL active\active products,
ClusterReplica/ProReplicator is far advanced in this feature.
Some of the key notes on active/active mode are:
-
The default configuration for real-time data replication sets all services on the replica stations to be stopped. Users can turn on the
service when setup the Replication Set for the files using the application service.
-
Larger hard disk capacity may be required - this is because data being replicated from the Primary station in real time is first stored in a
temporary location and then copied into the defined replication location according to the time duration user defined.
.
-
The process of copying data from the temporary location to the defined replication location can be activated by scheduled time or
manually if necessary.
